Description
SIMATIC S5 IM 304 interface module (central-controller / expansion-unit link) used for distributed configuration of up to 600 m, connecting expansion units to a central controller and interfacing the central controllers of the S5-150H, -155H, -115H and -115F. It forms the IM 304 / IM 314 sender-receiver pair that extends the S5 backplane bus between subracks. In this cabinet it provides the rack-to-rack communication links, fitted as the two right-hand COM slots in Racks 03–07.
